Abbotsford – The Abbotsford Police Department Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU) is aware of the marked increase in dump truck traffic travelling along Whatcom and Mckee Roads this week (February 25 to March 1) due to a temporary road closure of Ward Road, normally used by the dump trucks to access Sumas Mountain.
During this closure of Ward Road, the trucks are permitted to travel Whatcom and Mckee Roads to access Sumas Mountain.
TEU has been in the area this week monitoring the truck traffic to ensure compliance with speed and will continue monitoring the commercial traffic in this area until the reopening of Ward Road.
