Chilliwack – The construction of the new Molson Coors production and distribution facility is moving along at a steady clip.
Josh Stewart, Corporate Affairs – Western Canada Molson Coors Canada shared some photos of the prep with FVN. The site is on Yale Road , north of Highway one, which creates easy access on and off the freeway for truck traffic.
“This was the first concrete pour from a couple weeks ago. Things are moving along! The concrete was poured onto the building column footings of the warehouse area. These footings will soon be covered with a layer of structural fill and eventually covered with a structural slab. Another full set of building foundations will soon be built in the packaging area.
Needless to say, activities are definitely increasing at the site and everyone will continue to see the building take shape quite rapidly.”
The $200-million facility is expected to generate over 1,000 jobs during construction, and around 100 employees will be hired when the brewery is operational. Production is expected to begin in early 2019.
