Experienced educator and leader Dr. Peggy Antifaeff has announced her candidacy for School
Trustee with the Abbotsford Board of Education. Peggy brings more than 25 years of experience as an educator, school leader, district leader, and community volunteer to the upcoming election.
Peggy’s education includes a Doctor of Educational Leadership (Western University), Master of
Education (UBC), Bachelor of Education (UBC), Bachelor of Arts (UFV), Teaching English as a
Second Language Certificate (UFV), and Human Resources Management Certificate (SFU).
A lifelong advocate for students and public education, Peggy currently supports leaders and
educators as a District Principal in Human Resources with Surrey School District. Her 16+ years
working as an educator across 8 different schools and at the district office in the Abbotsford School
District, combined with over 8 years experience in her current role in the largest school district in
BC, makes her uniquely qualified to understand the issues at hand and work creatively within the
system to address concerns and improve opportunities for student success.
Community service has been an important part of Peggy Antifaeff’s career. She has volunteered
with organizations including the Kiwanis Club of Clearbrook, Character Abbotsford, and BC
Schools of Character. Through these volunteer opportunities, she supported initiatives promoting
literacy, character development, student leadership, and community engagement.
“I have lived in Abbotsford since I was a child, and I am beyond proud to be a member of this
community. I have seen firsthand what is possible when schools, families, and the community
work together,” says Peggy Antifaeff. “I want to contribute my experience and positive energy to
working together to build an even stronger future for our students.”
