Chilliwack – Restorative Cycle, an arm of Chilliwack Restorative Justice had just moved into their new digs. Problem is, they have to move again!
They need to hear from the community.
In a release from Executive Director Steve Roukema : Though we restore bikes, our priority is to create opportunities for people to restore relationships. Over 15 bikes have been donated to the community since we opened September 9, 2023. Multiple foundations have donated over $30,000.00 to support our community bike shop initiative. We need a new location soon though! Our current location is scheduled for demolition. Cheam View United Church has generously provided over 1500 sq ft for us to use to store, repair, and sell bikes and has sold their building for other projects.
Cheam View Church will hold its last Sunday Service on February 11, and while the congregation does have a new place to worship, Restorative Cycle needs to find a new home.
So they need not only your financial support, they could use a few leads for a new place to restore and sell bikes.
