Chilliwack – If case you missed having a $200 brunch with the PPC Leader Maxime Bernier at the Coast Chilliwack Hotel, the local chapter of the PPC and its organizer Ben Besler, posted the video to Facebook. FVN has re-posted to our website. The PPC or Peoples Party of Canada has drawn some interest and raised eyebrows as well. It might be an alternative to the Conservatives, although critics are concerned that one of their Burnaby candidates is a former religious TV host who is anti-SOGI. A hot button topic in the Fraser Valley.
Courtesy of the PPC, here is the video of Bernier’s Chilliwack speech:
ORIGINAL STORY FEBRUARY 5 – At the same time as Angus Reid released an editorial , wondering aloud if a Western Canada party should rise up prior to the 2019 Federal Election, and shades of the 80’s Reform Party, comes this.
Brunch with the leader of the Peoples Party of Canada Maxime Bernier.
This $200 a plate gathering will be at the Coast Hotel, 11:30 AM – 1:45 PM on February 23.
Emcee’d by Ben Besler the Regional organizer for the PPC in the Fraser Valley.
Bernier, the former Conservative Party leadership challenger and MP has struck out on his own. This will be part fundraiser, handshake and grass roots presentation of his party’s platform.
On August 23, 2018, he announced that he was leaving the Conservative party with the intention of founding a new pan-Canadian political party. Bernier held a press conference where he declared that the Conservative Party was “too intellectually and morally corrupt to be reformed”, tries to avoid important but controversial issues of concern to Canadians, and was afraid to articulate any coherent philosophy to support its positions. He later said that his party will debate discussions that “the leadership and the caucus” did not want to have when he was a party member. (Wikipedia)
