IIO Looking For Chilliwack Truck And Driver – May Have Witnessed Fatal Police Tasering

Surrey/Chilliwack – The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. is still seeking a key witness to a fatal incident that occurred at approximately 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018, in Chilliwack.

Police tasered a man who was in a domestic dispute situation with his estranged wife and child. The original FVN story can be found here.

The IIO has identified the following witness (driver and or occupants) who can provide valuable information to the investigation.

  • A black or dark blue Dodge Ram 1500

This vehicle was stopped in the southbound curb lane of Vedder Road (at Storey Avenue) as the incident unfolded.

The IIO is asking for these witnesses and any others who may have seen, heard, or recorded the incident to contact the IIO Witness Line at 1-855-446-8477.
