Abby Police – Two Fentanyl Dealers Arrested In Two Days

Abbotsford – Abbotsford Police Department continues to target drug traffickers dealing in fentanyl. Last week, two separate APD Drug Enforcement Unit [DEU] investigations led to the arrests of Michael Bentley (40 yrs old) and Robert Harris (48 yrs old).

The DEU began their investigation of Robert Harris in January 2018, when it received information that Harris was trafficking fentanyl from his apartment. Harris was arrested on March 14, 2018; his next court appearance is in April.
 
On December 17, 2017, the APD DEU executed search warrants at Michael Bentley’s Abbotsford residence, storage locker and vehicle. Over $6,000 cash, fentanyl, crack cocaine, heroin, 5 cell phones and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking was seized. Bentley was arrested on March 13, 2018 for possession for the purpose of trafficking (“PPT”) in fentanyl, heroin and cocaine. Bentley has outstanding charges from 2016 for similar offences. Bentley has been remanded in custody.
