Cultus Lake – Recently, the Cultus Lake Park Board undertook a process in which all buoys within the Cultus Lake foreshore area had registration information updated, registered buoys were identified, locations were mapped on a GPS, and all buoys were brought into bylaw compliance. During this exercise, it was identified that the buoys in the foreshore are congested, and that there are many that are too close to each other, the docks and the swim areas.
The Cultus Lake Park Board is now asking residents of Cultus Lake to attend a public meeting and to provide input on how to solve the buoy challenges. The public meeting will be:

David Renwick, Chair of the Cultus Lake Park Board stated: “We know that a strong, engaged community is crucial for the ongoing success and management of Cultus Lake.” He added: “We want to engage with residents to come up with ideas on how the foreshore buoys can be reorganized to make mooring boats and boating a safer, more efficient and pleasant experience for everyone, with the least amount of disruption to the community.”
Free parking will be available at Parking Lot A from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
