Ridge Meadows RCMP Seeking Witnesses in Stabbing

Maple Ridge (Josh Olund BCIT Radio A&E) – Ridge Meadows RCMP is seeking anyone who witnessed or heard anything in regards to a stabbing that occurred late Sunday night.

On Sunday, May 2, around 10:30 PM, Ridge Meadows RCMP received a call that was down-streamed from BC Ambulance services stating they had responded to an incident in the 21000 block area of Cook Ave where two people suffered injurie sthat were consistent with stab wounds.

Police responded to the home and learned that two men had gotten into an altercation with the residents and proceed to assault a man and a woman.The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries but is expected to recover from them.

The woman had been treated for a minor injury.

The home is also known to the police.

The only suspect description that was provided to the police was one man, with a heavyset, and the other was an average build. Both of them were wearing masks.Early investigation revealed this to be an isolated incident, specific to that residence and the greater public is not in danger.
