AbbyPD Investigating Sexual Assault off Peardonville Road – Looking for Witnesses, Dashcam Footage

Abbotsford – Abbotsford Police Major Crime Detectives are seeking help from the public who may have dashcam footage of an alleged sexual assault in Abbotsford early Friday morning (April 30).

Detectives are in the preliminary states of this investigation and details are limited, and the Major Crime Unit is investigating a sexual assault that occurred at approximately 1:00 am in the area of Peardonville Road and Livingstone Ave. The female victim was out for a walk, met the male suspect and they began to engage in conversation. They walked to the northeast area of the Peardonville overpass; a short time later the suspect sexually assaulted the victim.

The suspect is described as a five-foot-eight Indigenous man in his late 20’s to early 40’s with long dark hair pulled behind his ears, small dark eyes, dark thick eyebrows, a thin moustache. He was wearing a white jacket with a red stripe down the arms, and dark pants, running shoes and a backpack.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later released. The suspect is not known to the victim.
