Chilliwack Fire – House Blaze At Robson and Victoria

Chilliwack – On Saturday Afternoon (March 9 @ 1:40PM), Chilliwack Fire was alerted to a report of a structure fire in the 9400 block of Robson Street at the corner of Victoria Avenue.

Fire crews from Halls 1,2,4, 5 and 6 responded to the scene and upon arrival discovered heavy smoke and flames showing from a two-story residential house.

Crews were able to prevent the spread of the fire to nearby structures, however the home did suffer extensive fire, smoke and water damage.No one was home at the time of the fire.

No firefighters were injured although firecrews were able to successfully rescue the homeowner’s dog from the home and assisted British Columbia Ambulance crews with providing the dog with some oxygen and water.

The cause of this fire is under investigation and is believed to be accidental.
