Abbotsford – At approximately 7AM Monday (Sept 14) morning, AbbyPD Patrol officers responded to reports of an assault in the area of Hopedale Avenue and Clearbrook Road. Callers reported that three individuals were assaulting a man who was lying on the roadway.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim in the middle of the road. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers are actively investigating the incident and working to determine the circumstances that led up to the assault. At this time, investigators believe the incident was targeted and there is no indication of an ongoing risk to the public.
