Harrison Hot Springs – On Saturday October 6th, popular Vancouver-based septet Coco Jafro will be making a return visit to Harrison Hot Springs, following a smash performance at the 2017 Harrison Festival of the Arts.
Coco Jafro is a hard hitting force to be reckoned with, unifying the masses with their electrified, funky global rhythms. They bring together the schools of funk, soul, jazz and Afro-beat, providing a unique sound that flows from a foundation of deep set grooves.
A tight band that delights in sharing a highly positive vibe with their audience, Coco Jafro has developed over the past few years into one of the city’s most requested live roots music bands. Along with high quality vocals, the instrumentation includes guitars, keyboards, sax, drums, and percussion, and their live show encourages the freedom to dance and the freedom to think. In their sound one can hear echoes of latin rock (think Santana), reggae, Afrobeat rhythms, and Cuban salsa. Come start the season with a party!
The concert will begin at 8:00pm on Saturday, October 6th inside the Harrison Memorial Hall. Doors will open at 7:30pm. Tickets are available at harrisonfestival.com, by calling 604-796-3664, or at the Agassiz Shoppers Drug Mart.
