Chilliwack – It was almost like a scenario from a bad Cheech and Chong movie.
An RCMP Traffic police officer stopped a vehicle on June 7, on Highway #1 in Chilliwack.
The driver was wearing large headphones while travelling 85 km/hr in a 110 km/hr zone.
While dealing with the driver, the officer suspected drug trafficking.
A search of the vehicle revealed 98 pounds of suspected Marijuana located in three large bags, as well as what is believed to be $1,760 in Canadian currency.
The suspected Marijuana and cash were seized and the driver released from the scene pending further investigation.
