Abbotsford Grinch Purse-Snatches A Senior

Abbotsford, BC  – On Monday afternoon ( December 21 at 3:20 pm), an 81-year-old woman was walking to her car after doing some Christmas shopping at Sevenoaks Shopping mall in the 32900 block of South Fraser Way. She was approached by a young man who asked her how she was doing.

The woman proceeded to get into her vehicle and as she did the male grabbed her purse and pulled it from her hands. The suspect then ran to a waiting yellow sedan and jumped into the passenger seat. The vehicle, being driven by another young male, exited the parking lot and fled along South Fraser Way.

The purse snatching robbery suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 20-30 years of age, standing 5’8” tall with a thin build. He was clean shaven with short brown hair.

The suspect driver was only noted to be a young, Caucasian male.

The victim was severely traumatized by this incident and was taken to hospital for examination. She is extremely small in stature, under 5’0” tall, and walks with the use of a cane. The suspects clearly targeted a vulnerable, female senior.
