Abbotsford, BC – On Thursday August 27, 2015 the Abbotsford Police Department received a laptop that had been recently purchased via an on-line advertisement. The new owner found disturbing images on the computer and contacted police. APD Investigators examined the computer and located images of child sexual abuse. They also located the former owner of the computer, 52-year-old Jonathan GRUNWALD of Abbotsford.
GRUNWALD has now been charged with Sexual Assault (of a person under 16 year of age), Sexual Interference, Invitation to Sexual Touching, Making Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography.
This APD Major Crime Unit investigation is continuing. To date, one child victim has been identified. The child is safe and support has been established for them and their family.
