Cultus Lake Fireworks Cancelled – Safety Reasons – Other Canada 150 Events Are Still On

Cultus Lake – For obvious safety reasons, the fireworks at Cultus Lake, slated for Saturday August 26, have been cancelled.

Cultus Lake officials had  been inundated with calls of cern from residents all due to the fire ban and tinder dry condition.

The fireworks were part of the Canada 150 Lakeside Trail Event at Main Beach.

All the other events for the Canada 150 Trail Celebration will go ahead as planned, starting at 6:30PM at Main Beach.

6:30 p.m. at Main Beach
·      Close-up magic by Damien Carriere, fantastical balloon twisting by Matt Johnson, tunes by Star FM Cruiser
·     Corn, hotdogs and Canada 150 cupcakes at Gazebo A (while they last)

8:00 p.m. at Main Beach
·      Glow sticks and Canada 150 giveaways at Gazebo A (while they last)

8:00 p.m. at the foot of Balsam Street
·      Live music

8:30 p.m. along the Waterfront Trail
·      Light up the trail walk
