Harrison – Just after 4PM Harrison Hot Springs Fire Department took to social media:
We are aware of a fire located under the power line on the southwest side of Harrison up the mountain. Coastal Fire is aware and we are monitoring the situation.
By 6:45PM the fire was listed as under control as BC Wildfire Crews and Harrison Fire were on the scene.
There are social media reports that , ironically , BC Hydro crews were under the catchment of the power lines, doing maintenance and clearance.
