Sweltzer Creek Road Closed from Vedder Bridge to Soowahlie Reserve – Mud Slide (PICTURES)

Sardis – Sweltzer Creek Road was Closed on Sunday between the Vedder Bridge to Soowahlie Reserve. A mud slide is now under inspection by Chilliwack Fire and the Province. Department of Forests and the City are monitoring the situation.

The atmospheric river is causing a high streamflow event for the Chilliwack/Vedder River as well as the Fraser.

The last members of the homeless camp were bringing their belongings up from the riverside when FVN arrived.

The mini mall and parking for Sidekick Brewing, Banter Ice Cream and Project Climbing Centre are not in peril.

More to come.
