Abbotsford – On Saturday night (January 20th, 2024, at 5:51PM) Abbotsford Police responded to the Nest Buy parking lot within the 32900 block of South Fraser Way, Abbotsford (Seven Oaks Mall) for a reported shooting.
Upon attendance at the scene, officers located a 25-year-old male with serious and life-threatening injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. First aid was immediately provided, however, the victim died.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages, with early indications suggesting this incident is targeted.
AbbyPD has informed the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), which has since been deployed.
The Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit will be transitioning this investigation to I.H.I.T., with the I.H.I.T. media team providing further updates.
