Chilliwack – The Downtown Chilliwack Community Market Society (DCCM), also known as the Chilliwack Market, is set to launch its highly anticipated 2024 market season, extending an invitation to vendors for a vibrant 22-week showcase from May 26th to October 20th.
The Chilliwack Market is a community of local growers, crafters, and gatherers coming together every Sunday from 10am to 2pm to offer their products to their local community. DCCM has quickly become Chilliwack’s most reliable source for high-quality local food, art, and hand-made products. Whether you’re a seasoned marketgoer or a first-time visitor, the Chilliwack Market opens the gateway to a world of quality food and goods that exemplify the spirit of Chilliwack.
Focus on Food Security and Community
The DCCM, a non-profit society dedicated to community and food security, aims to connect local families, individuals, and seniors with healthy local food, contributing to the well-being of our local farmers, economy, and community. Celebrating its fourth year, the market has already generated over $70,000 in food security funds for Chilliwack locals in partnership with the BCAFM, Bowls of Hope Society, and the Chilliwack Métis Association, highlighting its commitment to creating a community-centric space that provides local food for the local community and cultivates meaningful connections.
Enhancements for the 2024 Season
In anticipation of market growth, the Chilliwack Market has expanded its layout to accommodate four additional vendors. This strategic expansion aims to offer more space, improve overall flow, and introduce coveted corner spots, providing vendors with a unique opportunity to showcase their products in an engaging atmosphere.
The 2024 market season promises exciting initiatives, including weekly themed events, live local musicians, giveaways featuring vendors and local businesses, and enhanced marketing efforts to spotlight the diverse offerings of our vendors.
Calling Like-Minded Vendors
The Chilliwack Market is looking for vendors who share a commitment to local food security, education, accessibility, environmental stewardship, inclusion, and community. If your products align with the vibrant spirit of DCCM, organizers invite you to apply for the 2024 season.
