Yarrow – On Thursday June 8 (9:20am) , the Chilliwack Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a bus on firei n the 44400 block of Vedder Mountain Rd.
Upon arrival, fire crews discovered a full-size tour bus heavily involved in fire on the side of Vedder Mountain Rd., with fire quickly spreading to nearby hedge sand a workshop on a private property. Both the tour bus and the workshop sustained heavy fire, smoke and water damage.
No one was urt.
The driver and all passengers of the tour bu swere able to safely exit. The cause of this fire is currently under investigation by Chilliwack Fire Officials.

Chilliwack Fire were called to a vehicle fire in the 44400 block of Vedder Mountain Road in Chilliwack. The vehicle involved was a hired coach bus transporting students from a West Vancouver elementary school. The students were enroute to Cultus Lake. All occupants of the bus were able to exit safely and have proceeded on to their field trip to Cultus Lake.
