Snow Fall Warning Dropped

4PM UPDATE – Snowfall Warning for all of the Fraser Valley has now been dropped.

Tonight – Periods of snow and rain showers. Windy early this evening. Low zero.

Saturday – Snow mixed with rain ending near noon then cloudy with 60 percent chance of rain showers. Local snowfall amount 2 to 4 cm. High 6. UV index 1 or low.

ORIGINAL STORY – As of 2PM Friday afternoon, the snow fall warning for Abbotsford has been dropped.

However, the snowfall warning remains in effect for:

  • Fraser Valley – central including Chilliwack
  • Fraser Valley – east including Hope

Snowfall with total amounts of 5 to 10 cm continues.

A frontal system will continue to give snow to the central and eastern sections of the Fraser Valley. Snow mixed with rain at times will change to snow this evening and tapers off to a few flurries near midnight. Total snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm can be expected.

All UFV campuses closed as of Noon Friday.
