Abbotsford – On Wednesday September 30, AbbyPD Plainclothes Patrol Officers were conducting proactive enforcement in the 2400 block of Crescent Way when they observed a female openly consuming drugs while seated in a vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested the vehicle’s occupants for drug possession offences.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of approximately 80 grams of suspected illicit drugs and approximately $3,000 in cash. The vehicle was also seized as evidence as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
This enforcement action underscores the importance of proactive policing in identifying and disrupting criminal activity before it escalates and negatively impacts the community. By targeting drug-related offences, AbbyPD officers continue to enhance public safety, address neighbourhood concerns, and reduce the harms associated with illicit drug trafficking. The investigation remains ongoing.
