Chilliwack – Long-time Chilliwack resident, small business owner and community volunteer Danielle Beausoleil has announced her candidacy for Chilliwack City Council in the 2026 municipal election.
A mother of two, Beausoleil has called Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley home for most of her life. With a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration, she brings experience as an entrepreneur and residential and commercial real estate advisor, working alongside local businesses, developers, non-profit organizations and community groups.
“I’m running because I believe this is an important time for Chilliwack and I want to put my experience, energy and commitment to work for the community I call home,” said Beausoleil. “Our city is growing, and we have an opportunity to plan thoughtfully, support local businesses, and protect what makes Chilliwack special while building a strong future for generations to come.”
Beausoleil has a long history of community service. She was a Rotarian for approximately 15 years and has participated in numerous fundraising initiatives that support both local and international projects. She is also a board member of Community Futures South Fraser, a former board member of the Chilliwack Academy of Music, and has spent years helping to deliver community initiatives such as All Is Bright and For This City.
Her campaign will focus on building a healthy and vibrant community while maintaining the quality of life that makes Chilliwack such an exceptional place to live.
Beausoleil’s key priorities include:

- Responsible economic growth that balances opportunity with thoughtful community planning.

- Investing in culture, recreation and community spaces that contribute to a healthy and connected community.
- Protecting Chilliwack’s natural environment by supporting responsible environmental stewardship.
Beausoleil believes effective municipal leadership starts with listening to residents and bringing people together to solve problems.
“Throughout my career and volunteer work, I’ve learned that the best solutions often come when we bring different perspectives together,” said Beausoleil. “I want to be a councillor who listens first, asks thoughtful questions, works collaboratively and focuses on practical solutions.”
Her approach to public service is grounded in three core values: service, responsible leadership and collaboration.
“Chilliwack has given my family and me so much, and I believe in giving back through service,” Beausoleil said. “I’m running because I care about this community and want to help ensure Chilliwack remains a great place to live, work, raise a family and build a future.”
The 2026 City of Chilliwack municipal election will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026.
