Mission – UPDATE JULY 7 – The City of Mission officially broke ground this morning on Emiry Park in Cedar Valley, marking the start of construction on a new neighbourhood amenity designed to support outdoor recreation, family activities, and community gathering.
Located at the corner of Emiry Street and Brunton Court, the new 1.54-hectare (3.8-acre) forestry themed park will feature a spray park, playground, sports courts, parking, walking trails, and picnic areas. Once complete, Emiry Park will provide residents with a vibrant new outdoor space that reflects the needs of Mission’s growing Cedar Valley neighbourhood.
The development of this new park is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to investing in parks and recreation spaces that enhance quality of life and create opportunities for residents of all ages to connect, play, and stay active close to home.
The project is funded through the British Columbia Growing Communities Fund and the Forestry Legacy Reserve.

City of Mission are currently working to award the construction contracts and then it’ll be shovels in the ground to bring this park to the community
