Chilliwack (Chilliwack RCMP) – Chilliwack RCMP recently removed a dune buggy from the roadway that was non-compliant with the Motor Vehicle Act. As a result, nine violation tickets were issued. A friendly reminder that just because it has four wheels, doesn’t mean it belongs on the road. Road-ready vehicles keep everyone safe.
In an email to FVN from a dune buggy owner who wishes to remain anonymous: There are many many many dune buggies on the road, license, and insured that pass inspection without any problems. Dune buggies have been insured and licenced since the 60’s- yes there are a couple things that may need to be changed with this car but not all dune buggies. We personally have a few dune buggies- all insured properly- all road legal and all street legal passing motor vehicle testing.
