Langley (with files from Amazon) – Vancouver Canucks Captain Quinn Hughes took time away from the ice and the trade talks, to be at Amazon’s delivery station in Langley Township and of Quinn making the delivery to the Langley Food Bank (December 10).
The delivery included essential items valued at $10,000, which were donated by Amazon after the Langley Food Bank created a wish list on Amazon.ca requesting help as they face increased demand during the holiday season.
Quinn started out by stopping by the Amazon delivery station where he helped load a van full of the items being donated. He then travelled in the van to the Langley Food Bank, where executive director Josh Mace and a crowd of enthusiastic volunteers welcomed Quinn and the delivery.
“I feel it’s important to give back, with the impact we have in the city and the people here, and the support that they give us, it’s important to give that back. It’s important and means a lot to me to try to give back and use that. Partnering with a brand like Amazon and understanding what they’re accomplishing here is really special for me.” – Quinn Hughes
