Fraser Valley – Musician Steve Ricardo is well known for plying his drum skills with various artists, live and in the studio. He is an integral part of the Chilliwack Rock Choir.
And he is well recognizable for his wild goatee.
After more than three decades shaping the sound of heavy metal, Ricardo is taking a bold new turn with his latest instrumental EP, El Diablo Mio. Best known as the powerhouse guitarist behind Cornucopia and Dirty Audio Machine, and for his collaborations with Wrecking Crew, Bif Naked, and Bonnie Scott, Ricardo now channels his technical mastery into a stunning acoustic experience.
Blending the raw emotion of Flamenco with the earthy warmth of Country, El Diablo Mio explores new musical terrain while staying true to Ricardo’s trademark intensity. Each track showcases intricate guitar work, dynamic rhythms, and a deep sense of storytelling—without a single lyric.
With El Diablo Mio, Ricardo proves that true artistry transcends genre. This instrumental EP stands as both a celebration of his virtuosity and a fearless reinvention of his sound.
El Diablo Mio is available now on all major streaming platforms. With all that said, he is submitting for the JUNOS for the 3rd time. This is his 7th Instrumental release.
