Fraser Valley Business Forum November 3 – With B.C.’s Provincial Election Complete, Fraser Valley Business Leaders Turn Their Attention to What Comes Next

Abbotsford – With British Columbia’s municipal and provincial elections now behind us, attention is shifting from the campaign trail to the decisions that will shape the province’s economic future.

On November 3, the Fraser Valley Business Coalition will host The Fraser Valley Business Forum: Policy, Investment & the Road Ahead, bringing together some of B.C.’s leading political commentators, government relations specialists and policy experts to unpack the election outcomes and explore what comes next for businesses across the Fraser Valley.

This timely, non-partisan discussion will examine how the changing political and public policy landscape could impact businesses, employers, investment and economic growth as British Columbia heads into 2027.

With rising operating costs, economic uncertainty and growing pressure on businesses, decisions made at both the provincial and municipal levels will have significant implications for employers, investors and communities across the region.

The forum will examine what the election outcomes could mean for government priorities, business confidence and investment attraction, while exploring how the Fraser Valley can strengthen its position as a key driver of British Columbia’s economic future.

The expert panel will feature:

  • Michael de Jong, K.C. – Chief Executive Officer, Cedar Ridge Developments
  • Nicole Brassard – Senior Associate, Hilltop Public Affairs
  • Carlie Pochynok – Vice President, Corporate Advisory and General Manager, Western Canada, Burson Global

The discussion will be moderated by Rob Shaw, veteran political columnist and commentator, who will guide a wide-ranging conversation on the political and economic forces shaping British Columbia.

The elections may be over, but the decisions that matter to business are just beginning. As governments establish their priorities and businesses plan for the year ahead, the forum offers an opportunity to understand the changing political landscape, consider its economic implications and be part of the conversation about the Fraser Valley’s future.
