Abbotsford – Abbotsford Police Department Weekend Recap: Sept 18th to Sept 21st.
Between Friday at 5:00 p.m. & Monday at 6:00 a.m., AbbyPD frontline officers responded to 313 calls for service.
Friday Night
Officers responded to 57 calls for service throughout the night. Patrol attended a single-vehicle collision at South Fraser Way and Bourquin Crescent East, where the driver is being investigated for dangerous driving.
Officers also responded to two intimate partner violence incidents, resulting in the arrest of two individuals. In addition, members attended a sudden death in the community that is not considered suspicious. Various licensed premises checks were conducted throughout the evening.
Saturday
Saturday’s day shift was relatively routine, with no major incidents to report.
Overnight, officers responded to 61 calls for service. One missing person was located safe. Members also attended a variety of calls, including weapons complaints, wellbeing checks, assist calls, thefts, and reports of suspicious persons.
Sunday
Sunday’s day shift provided opportunities for proactive traffic enforcement throughout the city. Officers conducted enforcement along Old Yale Road near Zanatta Place and McAdam Road, as well as in the Maclure Road and Horn Street area. Three excessive-speed drivers were stopped, ticketed, and had their vehicles impounded.
During the overnight shift, officers responded to 63 calls for service. Three impaired drivers were removed from the road, while two additional excessive-speed drivers were issued violation tickets and had their vehicles impounded. Officers also attended a variety of other calls for service throughout the night.

Proactive Traffic enforcement efforts led to:
8 impaired drivers removed, & 93 violation tickets being issued. By the end of the weekend, 2 individuals were held in custody.
