Chilliwack – Hayden Rampton, 2026 Candidate for Chilliwack School Board Trustee has released his platform. 18 months ago , a young Shane Kooyman , fresh out of high school, ran for Chilliwack School Trustee in a by election. That path continues with Mr. Rampton.

From his media release: I am running for school trustee because I believe Chilliwack students deserve an education system that puts learning, strong classrooms, engaged families and responsible use of public resources first. How I Would Serve as Trustee
 Listen first: regularly hear from parents, students, educators and community members.
 Ask questions: seek clear evidence and explanations before supporting major spending or policy decisions.
 Stay accessible: communicate clearly about priorities, decisions and concerns raised by the community.
 Work collaboratively: trustees have different perspectives, but the board’s responsibility is to serve students, families and the broader community.
 Measure results: support initiatives that have a clear purpose and evaluate whether they are achieving it.
