Abbotsford – The Abbotsford Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) launched Project INTERRUPTION in 2025, targeting 36-year-old Tyler Missen and his involvement in drug trafficking within Abbotsford.

Throughout the investigation, DEU Detectives gathered evidence related to Mr. Missen’s drug trafficking activities in both Abbotsford and Chilliwack. In early 2026, the Chilliwack RCMP Priority Target Team advised AbbyPD they had commenced their own investigation into Mr. Missen leading to information sharing between AbbyPD and the Chilliwack RCMP.
On August 26th, 2026, Mr. Missen pleaded guilty to two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, as well as Possession of a Firearm Contrary to an Order, Possession of a Restricted or Prohibited Firearm, and Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm. These offences stemmed from the Abbotsford investigation.
Mr. Missen also plead guilty to one count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking arising from the subsequent Chilliwack RCMP Priority Target Team investigation. As a result of the comprehensive Abbotsford investigation, along with the additional charge arising from the Chilliwack investigation, Mr. Missen was sentenced to a total of 11.5 years in custody.
