Fraser Valley Regional District has issued an Evacuation Order and Alert for the area of Electoral Area E Wilson Road due to flooding. You must leave the designated area immediately. Failure to do so could result in injury and loss of life.

This will remain in effect until further notice.

If you are not in the area, avoid the area.

If you are in the evacuation ORDER area, you must leave immediately.

If you are in the evacuation ALERT area, you must be ready to leave on short notice, or if you feel unsafe.

The BC River Forecast Centre has upgraded the Flood Watch to a Flood Warning for the Fraser Valley East. A Flood Warning means that river levels have exceeded bankfull or will exceed bankfull imminently, and that flooding of areas adjacent to the rivers affected will result.

Areas of Impact:

Lower Fraser tributaries, including the Chilliwack River, Skagit River, Coquihalla River, and other areas of the Fraser Valley around Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Hope, and east through Manning Park.

Sumas River, including the potential for spillover from the Nooksack River.

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued an orange level rainfall warning for Fraser Valley – Central. This warning forecasts 90 to 130 mm of rainfall from Tuesday evening (December 9, 2025) through Wednesday evening (December 10, 2025). Localized flooding is likely. Some roads may become impassable. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times.

Areas of Impact:

• Fraser Valley – central, including Chilliwack and east including Hope, Hope Slide, and Highway 3 – Hope to Princeton (western sections).

Safety Reminders:

• Stay away from swift-running rivers and unstable banks.

• Do not drive through flooded roads or crossings.

• Expect possible erosion, debris slides, and localized flooding.

• Check and clear storm drains near your home to help reduce pooling.
