Victoria/Chilliwack – On November 14, Chilliwack-Hope MP Mark Strahl, Chilliwack North MLA Heather Maahs, and Chilliwack-Cultus Lake MLA Á’a:líya Warbus issued a joint statement to Premier David Eby and other members of caucus, expressing their grave concerns about homelessness, drug use and mental health issues within Chilliwack.
Maahs released a video of her, reading that letter in the Legislature on November 17. This was during the Private Members Statements where MLA’s are allowed five minutes to express their voice on local issues.
