Abbotsford – AbbyPD’s Project Agent is here to support local businesses dealing with trespassing and safety concerns. If you own or manage commercial property, this free program lets officers act on your behalf—even when you’re not there.
With Project Agent, officers can:
– Speak to individuals on your property
– Offer help and connect them to services
– Take action when needed under the BC Trespass Act
The Abbotsford Police Department began the Project Agent program in 2020 in response to the increasing number of calls for service from commercial businesses regarding trespassers affecting the safe and lawful use of their properties. The Project Agent agreement gives police the authority to enter onto private commercial properties and deal with trespassers without the need to first contact the owners.
