Fraser Valley – WVB: Attieh and Feist catch fire from the service line as Cascades knock off Regina in four
Mandi Feist and Talia Attieh each posted five aces on Friday as the UFV Cascades took down the Regina Cougars in four sets, 25-19, 25-18, 21-25, 25-20, at the UFV Athletic Centre.
UFV improves to 1-2 on the season with the win, while Regina falls to 2-3.
The Cascades and Cougars meet up again to close out the weekend on Saturday at the UFV Athletic Centre. First serve is set for 4pm, and the match can also be seen live on Canada West TV.
MBB: Hernandez double-double not enough as Cascades fall by two
Ismael Hernandez posted a team-high double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds, but the Cascades fell 83-81 to the Trinity Western Spartans on Friday in Langley.
The loss sees UFV drop to 0-3 on the season, while TWU improves to 1-2.
The Cascades and Spartans will meet up again at 6pm on Saturday in Langley. The game can also be seen live on Canada West TV.
WBB: Taylor scores team-high as early surge sinks Cascades
Fania Taylor scored a team-high 15 points on Friday, but an early surge from the Trinity Western Spartans saw the Cascades fall 75-52 at the Langley Events Centre.
The Cascades drop to 1-2 on the year with the loss, while the Spartans improve to 2-1.
The Cascades and Spartans meet up once again on Saturday at the LEC, with tipoff set for 4pm.
