Cultus Lake – From Cultus Lake Community and Julie Hiscock – UPDATE – 8:30pm Saturday August 30, a drowning has now been confirmed at Sunnyside. Ambulances have now left scene.
There are published reports that the victim was a 36-year-old man from Richmond. He was camping at Sunnyside with friends.
ORIGINAL STORY – Unconfirmed report of a drowning at Cultus Lake (Sunnyside area) Air ambulance at the school. Emergency personnel on scene. If fatal this will be the second drowning in three days. A drowning death of a 24 year old man from Burnaby happened at Entrance Bay on Thursday August 28.
