Sue Knott Running for BC United in Chilliwack – Cultus Lake – October 19 Vote

Chilliwack – A few weeks ago, BC United Leader Kevin Falcon was in Chilliwack but could not say who the local candidates would be for the October 19 Provincial Election.

For the new riding of Chilliwack-Cultus Lake, former city Councillor Sue Knott will run against incumbent NDP MLA Kelli Paddon.

Sue Attrill Knott brings an impressive wealth of experience spanning four decades in the business world. She commenced her career at the BC Telephone Company, ascending to the role of Senior Manager before retiring in 2004. Transitioning seamlessly, she assumed the role of CEO at the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce, steering its course for several fruitful years.

In 2008, Sue embarked on a new chapter, serving as a member of the Chilliwack City Council for a commendable 14-year tenure. Currently, she stands as the esteemed Executive Director of the Chilliwack Hospice Society, a role she has gracefully fulfilled for the past seven years.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Sue’s commitment to community service is truly admirable. A fixture on numerous boards, including the Chilliwack Cultural Centre Society and the Chilliwack Agricultural Commission, she tirelessly lends her expertise to initiatives aimed at enriching the fabric of society. As a Past President of the Chilliwack Mount Cheam Rotary Club and an active member of the Soroptimist Club of Chilliwack, Sue exemplifies the essence of leadership and service.
