Langley – Trace Bundy’s Acoustic Spring Plays KPU Langley Auditorium on Saturday March 2.

Trace Bundy, dubbed by fans as “The Acoustic Ninja,” is bringing his solo acoustic guitar act to KPU Langley’s Auditorium on Saturday, March 2, at 7:30 PM. Hailed in 2008 by Acoustic Guitar magazine as one of the Most Promising Talents of the Year, Bundy’s performances showcase harmonics, looping, multiple capos, and a unique banter and stage presence that deliver an unforgettable live concert experience. Jimmy Leslie at Guitar Player magazine blogs,

Trace Bundy is known for his creative guitar playing style, which he developed in his younger years after picking up his first guitar at a garage sale at age 11. His career started to take off as a young adult when, as a student at the University of Colorado, a video of one of his performances blew up on YouTube.

Bundy’s career has brought him across the world, with sold-out concerts in 28 countries and counting – from high-tech performance halls in South Korea and Italy to remote villages in Zimbabwe and Guatemala. He has independently sold over 99,000 albums on his record label, Honest Ninja Music. His video clips circulate virally at astonishing speed, with over 45 million YouTube views. Bundy has shared the stage with artists such as Belinda Carlisle, Olivia Newton-John, Neko Case, Judy Collins, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Phil Keaggy, David Wilcox, and David Knopfler.

The concert evening will feature Bundy performing his original instrumental music in addition to familiar popular songs done in an acoustic style! In addition to a great night of acoustic music, the concert will raise awareness for the DuncanAfrica Society, a Lower Mainland-based charity whose mission is to alleviate poverty in Africa by creating exquisite guitars by hand in their Uganda trade school.
