Five Chilliwack Crosswalks to Receive Rapid Flashing Beacons (MAP)

Chilliwack – This spring, five intersection crosswalks will receive rectangular rapid flashing beacons.

2024 RRFB Program

Five intersection crosswalks will be upgraded with RRFBs for heightened pedestrian crossing visibility and safety due to higher traffic volumes and visibility requirements.

RRFBs will be installed at the following locations and work will begin in the spring of 2024:

First Avenue at Nowell Street
Yale Road at Hazel Street
Yale Road at Kipp Avenue
Young Road at Lewis Avenue
Young Road at Reece Avenue
