Abbotsford – Early July 29th, 2023,AbbyPD plain clothes officers s conducted proactive patrols within the 34000 block of Gladys Ave, observing a suspicious vehicle idling in the area. Further observations were consistent with drug trafficking.
AbbyPD members stopped the vehicle, identifying the driver to be a 43-year-old male who is also a prolific offender. A search following the arrest of the male produced the following seized items:
– 359 grams of suspected cocaine
– 586 grams of suspected cutting agent
– 14 grams of suspected crack cocaine
– 10 grams of suspected heroin
– Approximately 20 pills of suspected MDMA
– A loaded .22 cal magazine
– An imitation firearm
– A flare gun
– Three knives
– $1170.00 Canadian Currency
– Three cellphones
– One Intralocks key-cutting machine
AbbyPD investigators have forwarded charges of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of an Imitation Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to a Prohibition Order. Further drug possession charges are pending lab results.
Along with the charges, police requested the accused be held in custody until their court date.
