Cultus Lake Board Meeting on May 18 to Address Damage and Repair to Cultus Docks

Cultus Lake – Cultus Lake Park Board will meet on Wednesday May 18 and part of the agenda will be a detailed update on dock repair and replacement status update.

The November 2021 atmospheric river and landslides/flooding took a major toll.

This is not to be confused with the Provincial Park timeline. Tea Pot Hill and Columbia Valley Road have had major repairs and Maple Bay is still being dredged out. But that all falls under Provincial Park jurisdiction.

Joe Lamb, Chief Administrative Officer told FVN that this process will be long and time consuming. This from insurance claims to reviewing damage estimates, to the actual reconstruction. While in a perfect world, the docks at Main Beach and Sunnyside (among others) would be repaired, this will not be an overnight fix. Construction could be happening throughout the entire summer.

The May 18 Agenda is here and starts at page 134. It is quite detailed.
