Hope – Hope Fire Chief Tom DeSorcy couldn’t help gushing like a “proud papa”on social media. One of Hope Fire Department’s finest, Rebecca Arrowsmith, is now an RCMP Officer.
“(Becca) joined the Hope Volunteer fire department in 2013 and over the years grew into a Lieutenant position in Fire Prevention as a Fire Inspector and Fire Investigator before being accepted into the RCMP this summer. She was very active in fundraising for the BC Lung Foundation through our stairclimb team and while we were sad to see her leave we are very proud of her and wish her well in this new career.”
FVN is still waiting on where she will be deployed for her first assignment.
From Hope Fire Department: Today we congratulate one of our own as Cst Rebecca Arrowsmith graduated today from RCMP Depot in Regina, Sask. Congratulations @becca16161 All of us at Hope Fire are #SuperProud
