Harrison Village Office Closed in Recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – Thursday September 30

Harrison Hot Springs – The Village of Harrison Hot Springs offices will be closed on September 30, 2021 in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. New lights will also be installed at the Civic Plaza that will glow orange in recognition of the occasion.

The Village values its relationship with Sts’ailes and First Nations members of the Lets’emot Community to Community Forum and hopes that September 30th will provide an opportunity for meaningful reflection on the history and legacy of residential schools and to honour Indigenous communities, families and survivors.

While the Village Office will be closed on September 30th, there will be no change to the garbage collection schedule and Public Works will be available to respond to emergency calls.
