Chilliwack – During Tuesday’s Chilliwack Council meeting, Chilliwack Fire Department’s Lisa Axelson took home a prestigious award.
The Fire Prevention Officers’ Association of BC awarded her “Public Educator of the Year”.
This award recognizes a member for outstanding achievement and dedication in the area of Public Fire & Life Safety Education. They are recognized and nominated by their peers.
To be eligible, nominees must be active members of the FPOABC and in good standing. Nominees must be actively engaged in planning, promoting, sharing or delivering Public Fire & Life Safety Education programs within their community and the Association.

Axelson is also 1st Vice President – 2021-2022 Fire Prevention Officers’ of BC Association.
