Record Hot Temps for Sunday and Monday – Potential for More Later in the Week

Chilliwack – For Chilliwack, Roger Pannett with Environment Canada told FVN that we did set a new high record temperature for Sunday and Monday:

Sunday – June 20,2021, a record max at 32.4 C, 10.5 C above normal.
Previous record 32.0 C  in 2018.

For Monday in Chilliwack – June 21^st, 2021, a record max at 33.7 C , 13.1 C above normal. For Abbotsford, the new record is 30.8C eclipsing the old 1973 record of 30.6C.

( Hottest day since the record breaking 35.8 C on August 16^th,2020.)

Previous max record for June 21^st  was 32.0 C in 1990.

 Also on Monday, a record high mean temperature of 25.6 C , 10.0 C above normal.
