Abbotsford (Josh Olund – BCIT Radio A&E) – There are a total of 27 different schools in Abbotsford that have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last two weeks, which is a new high.
Fraser Health’s website listed all the cases as “exposure events,” which means that someone who had COVID-19 was present at the school, but there doesn’t appear to be any in-school transmission.
As it stands, none of the schools exposed is being described as a “cluster” or “outbreak.”However, a lot of the schools are listed as having continuing exposures for many days.
For example, Abbotsford Senior Secondary had exposureson April 8, 9, 15 and 16, 2021;
Abbotsford Middle on April, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19,20 and 21, 2021;
Abbotsford Traditional Senior Secondary on April 8, 9, 12, 13, 14 and 15,2021.
