White Supremacy in Abbotsford – CIVL Mini-Series Airs Daily This Week

Abbotsford – CIVL-FM presents ‘Abbotsford’s Hushed History of Racism’, a five-part podcast series airing on 101.7 FM and www.civl.ca from April 19 to 23rd.

Funded by the Community Radio Fund of Canada (CRFC) through the Local Journalism Initiative, CIVL’s Aly Laube investigated the context and history of white supremacy in Abbotsford. The series identifies and contextualizes the fundamental development of racist ideologies and practises, and how they remain in practise both throughout the Fraser Valley and more broadly across the country. The series dives into topics such as racial divisions within the City of Abbotsford, historical revelations of white supremacy in the Fraser Valley, and lived experiences from experts and community members.
