Harrison – There is a contest to name the new synthetic outdoor rink that will be set up in the parking lot of the Harrison Boat Launch. As a cost of $130,000 , the Village Council agreed (in August) to purchase a used rink to be used in the winter and should be able to handle 60+ skaters at a time. (NOTE that being a used rink, the 12 year warranty is still valid.)
Now comes the time to name the rink. Council will choose a name and there are three cash prizes up for grabs. You do have to be a resident of the Village to qualify. Keep it clean and you have to be 19+ to enter.
